‘The Water Cycle’

watercycle.gif

In Science and Geography we are looking at the water cycle and the processes that are involved.

Click on comments and see if you can list the three main processes involved in the water cycle. Here’s a clue they all end with ‘-ation’.

Well done Knutty… so far you are the only one who has got all three processes right.  Good try Chloe B. and Chris, you both got two right!!!!!!!!!

Changing states

Today we recorded the temperature of water as we heated it and cooled it.  We discovered that the boiling point of water is 1000C and that freezing point is 00C.

We melted some ice-cubes in luke warm water and measured the temperature every two minutes.  We found that the water lost its heat as it melted the ice-cubes, it was using its heat energy to change the state of the ice.

Amy left a great comment on the Science page, she asked whether celsius and centigrade are the same thing.  For anyone interested in the answer, click on the ‘celsius and centigrade’ link in the sidebar.
