Year 5’s Myth
Long ago on an island far, far away there lived a princess named Kara. She was young and beautiful, her strawberry blonde hair swayed as she walked. Her eyes were as blue as the deepest ocean and her contageous laughter filled the palace.
At times the princess wished she could explore the world, but she was confined to the island. For many years a Sea Serpent had circled the island, scaring away any boats that came near, the islanders were trapped.
Most of the people were furious with the monstrous creature for taking away their freedom. However, the princess felt sorry for the beast, she could not help feeling that there was an explanation for its behaviour. She decided to visit the old woman, who lived deep within the forest. After many questions she discovered the serpent was really a prince, who had been cursed when he had stolen the old woman’s magic ring many years ago. The only way to break the curse was to return the ring to its rightful owner.

I think this myth is realy great it has good language in it and this what I am finishing off.
The princess wanted to ask the creature what it was doing here but she wanted to ask him politely because she dose not know if he is a good beastor like most beast’s a bad one.
So off she whent feeling all comfident and hoping that the beast was kind.Just after that Kara had eventurly reached the monserust beast and asked in a sweet voice ”excuse me uh…..mister”(looking so far up)”me and my friends and the other pepole on the island want’s to have freedom but we can’t because you are circling the island”.Princess Kara was wondering what the monster would say next……..
”You are right” explained the farousious beast Kara was shocked as the words came out of the monster’s mouth.”I am sorry,pardon”?.”It is just I have nowhere else to go I am lonley and I have not eaten anything for a year and a half”.”I see said the princess realy getting into it”,”well I will do you a deal wondered the princess if you stop guarding us from our lifes then we won’t give you some of our food”.”The deal is on said the serpant”.
Princess Kara had her dream of exploring the world it was almost like magic and she was the heroine for all the pepole on the island and for herself.She would leave her new friend back at home but he wouldn’t mind with that because she told her father (the king of the island) to feed him when he gets hungry but to not let him get to greedy but her father didn’t mind eather and the king made the island better and more pepole came but the islanders wanted to explore different places the same as Kara but she would always come back.

The princess had a plan. It involved a rescue!
She decided that she would rescue the prince/serpent from the curse, she would rescue the ring from the serpent, she would rescue the old woman from feeling angry and bitter, and she would rescue herself from being trapped on the island.
Cautiously she aproached the old woman again;
“I am sure I could get your ring back for you!” she declared confidently, “It will involve a long journey through many dangers. I will need a magic mirror, an enchanted sword, and a cloak that will make me invisible. Every time I meet with danger (and it will be three times), I will use one of my magic weapons. Eventually I will come face to face with the serpent!” Princess Kara paused, “and if I can get your ring back from him, will you change him back into a handsome prince, then I can marry him and leave the island to travel the world. Is it a deal?”
“No”, said the old woman.

The princess had a plan she wanted to ask the monstres creature why he kept circling the island, he told princess kara he was under a curse.Princess Kara was walking back to the island when she saw a women on the other side of the road , the women said “come over here I want to talk to you about the serpent”. She said that the serpent was wearing a ring and it has been put under a curse. Then princess Kara went back to the serpent, Kara took a ride on the serpent’s back then grabbed for the ring. Suddenly the serpent turned back to a prince and princess kara took the ring back to the rightful owner.

But, Kara wasn’t close enough to the ring. So, she slid down on it’s slimy back closer to the ring. she kept sliding down untill she was close enough to reach it. She put out her arm, and grabbed the ring. She nearly dropped it in the sea, but she just caught it. Then to her suprise the beast turned into a handsome young man. They all went back to the shore and then Princess Kara asked the mans name ‘my name is Ryan’ he said. Kara and Ryan got married and everyone was safe and sound. All thanks to Princess Kara.

the verry next day kara dived into the ocean and found lots of treasures but not the the serpant she picked up a stone somehow the serpant found kara and chased her round the sea. She swam quickly into a hole to get away from the serpant she ran out of air then leapt back into the ocean she droped the stone the serpant scurried away into the nothingness off the ocean.The serpant leaped out of the sea it dropped a ring it landed in her hand she gave the ring to the old lady.The serpant transformed into a prince called ryan then they got married and went around the world

Her plan was to try to track down the serpent. So she got some food, put it in the water so then the serpent would follow the food and go to the rocks, so off she went to the rocks she had to hide so he could not see her. Then the serpent came to the rocks and the princess got the serpent it was a bit of a struggle, but at last she grabbed the ring off him and he turned into a man called Ryan. Then, they got married.

Hi Mrs.Cavanagh. My idea of the ending.
The princess was ready to dive into the water and tryed to catch its atention. She shouted”Hey you, yeah I`m yellin at you. Can you please stop circling the island and follow me? your under a curse.” The serpant said “I know you fool. Do you think IIII`m a fool ?” The princess just swam and yelled” Just follow me.”
Later they reached an island. A mysterious woman was looking at them.
It said”You have returned.If you wish to break the curse thou shall return the ring to its writful owner.” “OK then oldey.” He gave back the ring to the old woman. He transformed back into a prince and a few years later they got married.

She wandered dawn to the shore where the sea serpant was resting. She spoke softly to him “you are the prince aren’t you ,you need to give back the ring.” He agreed and gave her the ring. She climbed up the rocks to the surface of the island, she went to the old woman to return the magical ring. The woman thanked kara a bracelet (that wasn’t magical.) As she went back to the shore looked over the edge . She could not believe her eyes she saw a handsom yong prince lying on the shore, there was no sea serpant in the water. kara took the prince back up the cliff and told every one her story, and that the islanders were free to explore the world.

princess kara decided that she would go and find the serpent, so she went and found the serpent and asked him ” why do u circle the island ” the serpent said an old lady gave me a ring and i put it on and then all of a sudden i turned into a sea serpent ” the princess was shocked by what the serpent had said then the princess spoke ” so if i take off the ring you will turn back into the prince and may i ask your name ” then the serpent said ” yes my name is prince ryan and yes if you take the ring off me i will turn back into the prince”.

princess kara asked the sea serpent “why do you keep circling the island” the serpent replied “an old woman hated me and she gave me this ring that has been cursed”. The princess was shocked the serpent carryed on saying ” I am a prince ryan, the curse made me circle the island and turned me into a sea serpent , if you take it of me and return it to the old woman the curse will break”. kara said “please will you give me the ring and i will go and return it to the old lady”. The serpent gave the ring to kara to return it to the old woman to trick her. prince ryan (the serpent) was a prince once again the princess cheared but she still had to return the ring to the old woman.

princess kara went up to the monster and said “is there any chance i could have my ring back?” but the beast replied “i was putting my fingers in my mouth to get to sleep and i swallowed the ring if you want it you will have to climb into my mouth to get it” kara was surprised and demanded him to open his mouth, she turned tiny and climbed in. She grabbed the ring and climbed back out ran to the island shouting “thank you” to the serpant and ran to the old woman and said “is this the ring?” and the woman said “yes but it is a bit red” and kara explained the whole story. She became popular all throughout the island.

the princess had a plan…. she thaught that she could ask the serpent if he was a good prince and one day she could marry him, when she got to the bottom of the island she was sooooooooo scared but she really wanted to travel the world. She shouted the serpent and she said ‘hello i’m princess kara erm…..er i’ve heard that you are a prince but im wondering ive got away to.’

The princess had a plan. She walked towards the serpant and said why are you circling the island. Then the serpant said I stole the ring from an old women and now I am cursed. Princess Kara was shocked that the serpant spoke back to her. Suddenly the serpant spoke back to her and said I am realy a prince . The princess dived into the water and took the ring off the serpants finger. The prince suddenly changed back to normal. Princess Kara returned the ring back to the wise old women. The wise old women said as a reward I will give you some money. The princess rushed back to her mother and told her the news.

She watched the serpent for many days and how quick it went. And taking a jump from cliff rocks she landed on the cursed prince perfectly and tried to take the ring of it, but at that moment it went through rapids and she was thrown off and sent the other way so she thought she might as well try again while she had been thinking the beast had circled the island again. With massive force the creature hit the princess knocking off the ring. Kara cought the ring and swam to the shore she then dried herself and ran to the old women. Then as soon as the ring was returned there was a knock on the door and a beautiful crowned man entered the room and said “I am prince Conner and I am in your debt.” Then Kara said “Can you repay me with marrige?”

She decided to go and find the serpent and see if she could do anything for the poor snake circling the island. She went to the shore and waited
for the serpent to come past. When she caught sight of him she leaped
on his back. After a while she spoke.
“Who are you?” she whispered.
“I am Prince Ryan.”
“What’s happened to you?” she asked.
“That is a great secret,”said the serpent. Then she saw the ring. She knew instantly and pulled off the ring. Then the prince was free.

We are writing the end of the myth!!!
Her plan was to climb the mountain where the ocean began, and when she saw the serpent she would jump onto his back and whisper “Give me the ring and I will give the ring back to the old woman and you shall be a serpent no more.”
The princess climbed the mountin and she saw the serpent, so she took a great leap and landed on the creatures back. She wispered “Give me the ring and I will give the ring back to the old woman and you shall be a serpent no more.” The serpent spoke “The ring is on one of my claws and my claws are under the water so you will have to dive under to fetch it, is that ok?” “It’s ok on one condition, that condition is that when… What will come next???

She had a plan to protect the seaserpent . She decided to get her friends to help her. She asked Ben the dog and she asked him to protect the seaserpent with her to do it and Ben said “yea!” In his dogi language. She went down to the shore and called the seaserpent to come to her and he came got the ring and came back to the shore.

Princess kara thought shall I ask the beast why he is circling the island.
So princess kara walked down to the end of island and asked the beast politely “w… why are you circling our island.” Then the beast replied I have been cursed by this ring I was a human and I found this ring on the island and I put it on then ever since I have been a sea serpant.
Princess kara replied,” you poor thing is there any way to reverse the curse.”
The serpant said “yes there is a way,but you have to retern the ring to its
rightful owner.” So princess kara climbed down some rocks and jumped onto the serpant.Then she started to walk along the sea serpent and finally reached were she could get the ring she pulled the ring off the beast then the sea serpant said quickly, “return it to its rightful owner”, so as quick as she could she returned the ring to the old lady.
Then the sea sepant was a human so the princess pulled the boy out and they smiled happily at each other.

The serpant replied, “the curse keeps me guarding the island, unless the ring is returned to its rightful owner.”

The princess devised her plan that was meant to rescue the serpant from being cursed for any longer. The princess demanded for something to help her, so she asked the old woman for something to take with her that will help the poor serpant. The old women gave Kara an invisibility cape, some armour, and a special grip slider that will pull the ring off the beast’s claw.
Off the princess went with her special things. She looked over the side of the island and saw the serpant circling the place. The princess jumped in the water with the invisibility cape on. The princess swam up to the serpant and jumped on the back of it. She moved further up the creature
and grabbed the ring off the beast and jumped back off it into the sea.
The serpant was saved !

Princess kara thought shall I go and talk to the beast or not so princess kara decided to. So the princess started climbing down the rocks to the edge of the island.Princess kara finally reached the edge of the island. Then the princess saw the beast coming her way she was so scared that she could have run away but she stayed there to speak to the beast well sea serpant then it was right in front of the sea serpant.
Then princess kara said looking in the beasts eyes w… why are you circling the island then the beast replied I have been cursed by a ring Iwas human but I put the ring on then I just became a sea serpant so I have been circling the island ever since then princess kara said you poor thing I will try all ican to get the ring of. so princess kara jumped on the sea serpants back and started walking along the sea serpant when he was moving along. Then princess kara finally reached were she could get the ring so she pulled it of and as quick as the princess could she returned the ring to the old woman and she was so happy that shes got it back so as quickly as the princess could she went back to the edge and saw a prince that was in the warter shouting for help. The princesspulled the prince out and they both smiled at each other in joy.

the princess had a plan …. it involved a long swim in the sea.
There was a high tide that day so she would have to be careful. She went to her dad and said “Daddy can i go for a swim today?” and her dad replied “Of course darling but be careful there is a very high tide today” and kara said quickly “I will be, you know what i am like always careful, bye” and she ran off to the shore and started to swim but as soon as she got close to the serpant a large wave took her away. She tried to go back but the monsters tail swooped and she got brought back to the shore. The princess kara went up to her dad and said “It is no use i cant get to the serpant i wil try again tommorrow” “You never told me you were going to the beast of the waters around this island” her dad paniced what did she mean was she really going to try again tommorrow.

The next day she tryed again but could not succeed and went back to the old woman and complained “I can’t get to the serpant i need something to help me” after she said that the old woman rooted in her bag and pulled out a magic ring and said “This will help you it clears a space for you to go through, under and over things but the sea is a challenge for it but it will work with a lot of thought and self belief, do not say the words i can’t do this when the ring is on your finger have you got that?” kara nodded and she put the ring on her finger and said to herself “I can do this” over fifty times and swam of in to the sea and when she got close to the serpant she said ” I can do this i can do this” and she did when she got close enough to the serpant she climbed on its back and said quietly to the serpant “If you put this ring on your finger will you transform into the prince i have been told you are? and the serpant replied “Yes but hurry your time will run out” so Kara quickly placed the ring on his finger and swam back to dry land and all of a sudden a prince was in the water swimming towars her and he said “my name is Ryan and i shall marry you beacuse you are the one that saved my life” Kara fainted but prince Ryan caught her just in time.

” ok ” said kara so ryan put his left hand out and kara slid the ring off ryan’s finger then kara ran to the old woman’s house, she knocked on the door and the old woman answered the door “what do you want ” asked the old lady princess kara replied ” i am here to return that ring that prince ryan had taken from you the old woman spoke again ” ok, you better come in ” so princess kara slowly walked into the old woman’s home then kara took the ring out of her pocket and gave it to the old woman the old woman said ” thankyou ” then kara siad ” your welcome ” to the old woman then kara walked out of the house and returened to were ryan was then the year later kara and ryan married and they travled the world together
